This article is designed to help you with Deakin's Single Sign-On (SSO) process. Your Deakin username and password give you access to various systems such as Deakin Email, Wi-Fi (eduRoam), DeakinHub, Callista and StudentConnect.

To reset your Deakin Password, please follow the appropriate article for your situation:
Successfully, following the steps above will display your Deakin Username in bold letters as shown in the screenshot below
Student Email Address, follow a simple format of 's<University ID>@deakin.edu.au'.
Staff Email Address, follow a simply rule of 'firstname.lastname@deakin.edu.au', however common first name and last name can bypass this rule resulting in a different email altogether. If you are unsure on your email address, please reach out to IT HELP

Regularly updating your password helps keep your account secure.
| Note: If you receive a notification to update your password, it’s important to act promptly. If your password is not changed within the required timeframe (for staff), your account may be temporarily disabled to protect your information. |
It is best practice to use a different password for each of your online accounts. If you have trouble remembering all of your passwords, you can use a password manager to securely store them in one place. Deakin recommends students and staff use LastPass. LastPass not only stores passwords but lets you generate new ones, too.

In an effort to improve cybersecurity and protect the information Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is in place when accessing Deakin applications for all staff and students.
Previously, we made use of the DUO Mobile app when it came to implementing MFA practices, although we are transitioning to Microsoft Authenticator as the primary MFA provider at Deakin.
