Do you know that you need to manually update your new password for Deakin Services (email, Deakin wi-fi, etc.) running on any mobile devices? Once the new password is set, all portable devices will continually try and use the old password and your account may get locked if your password is not updated. |
The password will now be reset (assuming the nominated password complies with the password requirements.)
Your staff ID is displayed on your Deakin Staff card. If this is not available, or if your ID is unknown, please contact your supervisor.

If you get an error that your mobile number is incorrect, please contact Human Resources in order to update your details. If your email address is incorrect, please contact the IT Service Desk to have this updated. |
If you are unable to reset your password, and getting an error advising that the provided mobile number is incorrect or not listed, you will need to contact your manager to have your details registered in DeakinPeople via a HR representative for your designated area. Once your details are correctly registered you will then be able to use the Reset forgotten password website.
Please note that it can take up to 24 hours for the changes to take place once your contact details have been updated. |
If your email address is incorrect or not listed, the IT Service Desk can update this for you.
Please note that the IT Service Desk is unable to unlock your account if it is locked due to unavailability of employment information. This may occur if your contract has ended, or your new contract has not been processed yet. In this case the IT Service Desk may redirect you to contact your Manager for further assistance. |
