Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is the preferred method for identifying and cleaning malware from your personal PC or Mac device.
In the event your account is suspected or confirmed to be compromised, the IT Service Desk may request that your machine be scanned with Malwarebytes before being unlocked.
Malware can come from a range of sources:
- Spam/Phishing emails with attachments, or hyperlinks to fake websites,
- Unsecured websites (HTTP websites that lack SSL) such as unofficial download sites,
- Using unsecured USBs (Such as a USB you find on the pavement or in an office) on your machine.
