Overview

This article covers how to use the functions of a Deakin classroom with Unified Communications (Zoom).

The following equipment and functions will be found within a standard Deakin classroom:

Wireless microphones
and Lecture recording are not available in every room.
Hearing Augmentation is available in rooms greater than 100m2 and where required by the Building Code of Australia (BCA).


Startup

     

Starts up the system in Zoom Mode.
Please refer to the following article for Presentation Mode.
Pressing Help will open up the menu to request assistance.

 

Unified Communications Zoom Interface

 
This will create an ad-hoc meeting which you can invite participants to join.
This will contain the list of scheduled meetings which you can then join within that meeting's given time.

This opens up an interface where you can manually dial in a Zoom meeting via its Meeting ID and pass code if required.

This gives you the option to present your laptop (via the Zoom App), iPhone/iPad/Mac (via Airplay), and Share Room source (e.g. PC or connected Laptop via HDMI).

This functionality allows you to dial in users.

 

Meet Now

     

                         

Create ad hoc Zoom meetings right away.
Search for participants to invite.

 

Audio Controls

Sets the volume level of the speakers - glide your finger up or down the slider to adjust as required.
Mute all microphone audio (Zoom)
Mute audio outputs (e.g. from Zoom, PC or laptop).
