Duo Mobile (MFA) – Requesting a Bypass Code (Passcode)


You need to have personal email registered on DeakinPeople (Staff) or StudentConnect (Students) to obtain a bypass code through this method.

 

  1. Visit the Deakin Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) Self Service Portal from the following link: https://apps.deakin.edu.au/mfa-selfservice

  2. Sign into Deakin Single Sign-on (SSO) with your Deakin username and password.

  3. Enter your "Employee ID/Student ID" and click "Next". 



  4. Check your personal email address that you have provided to Deakin, you should receive a 9-digit bypass code. 



  5. In the Duo Mobile app, click "Bypass code".



  6. Enter the bypass code that was sent to you via email.
