How do I know the Syncplicity desktop application is working?

When you install the Syncplicity desktop application on a Windows computer, an icon is placed in the task bar - however it may auto hide this icon in the “Notification Area Icons” area.
This means that when Syncplicity is updating, you may miss the icon changes to show that it is working.

We recommend customising the Other system tray icons setting for Syncplicity, so it is always visible.

For Windows 11

  1. Right click any empty space on the taskbar and select Taskbar settings

  2. Click on Other system tray icons to expand the options



  3. Once expanded, ensure that the Hidden icon menu is toggled On


  4. Scroll down to find Syncplicity Client Application and toggle On



  5. The Syncplicity icon should now be visible on the system tray
