GlobalProtect (ZTNA/VPN) – How to Fully Uninstall GlobalProtect in macOS


This guide is not intended for Deakin-managed (SOE) Mac machines. It is only applicable to the following computers:
  • a Non-Deakin (BYO) Mac machine
  • a Deakin-owned Mac machine that has a non-Deakin image installed

You will require admin rights on your computer to complete these instructions.

  1. First, please visit the ztna.deakin.edu.au

  2. Login the portal page via Deakin Username and Deakin Password

     

  3. You can access the ZTNA download page after you login the page successfully.

     

  4. Select Download Mac 32/64 bit GlobalProtect agent that corresponds to the operating system running on your computer.

     

  5. Once the file has finished downloading, navigate to your Downloads folder.

    Open the software installation file 'GlobalProtect.pkg'.

     

  6. On the Destination Select screen, click Continue.

    On the Installation Type screen, select the Uninstall GlobalProtect check box, and then click Continue

  7. Confirm that the GlobalProtect app is no longer installed.

    A message pops up, confirming that the Uninstall GlobalProtect package was successfully installed. This confirmation indicates that the GlobalProtect app has been removed from your endpoint.
