When does my Student IT access expire?

The account expiry process commences when either of the following criteria is met:

If your account has expired but you have yet to apply to graduate, please contact your Faculty Enrolment Officer

The expiry process occurs as follows:

Day 1 - You will receive an email notifying you that your account will be locked in 7 days. Your account will no longer have access to the Deakin internet. You can still access your emails, OneDrive and home (H:) drive during this time.

Day 7 - Your account will be completely locked. You will not have access to anything, but your email forwards / auto-replies will still work.

Day 180 - Your account is deleted.

This means that for most students, their IT account expires (the account is locked), 6 months after completion of their last unit. The account is deleted completely 6 months after expiry.

Before deletion, ensure that you have downloaded all the documents and course resources that you will require in the future. If you have used your Deakin email address as the contact email for any account (e.g. LinkedIn, eQuals), update the account with your personal email address.
