You may encounter an error "The requested file operation failed because the storage policy blocks that type of file" when attempting to copy an Outlook Data File (.pst) email archive.
| Deakin computers can no longer sync a .pst email archive file through Windows offline files, as they are known to cause stability issues.
You can no longer store a .pst file on your Desktop or in your My Documents folder (or any other folder that is synced with offline files). Outlook Data Files (.pst) should be stored in your C:\ drive. You will need to manually back these up, including when changing to a new device. |
