How do I purchase goods and services ($5,001 and $30,000)?


Prerequisites

Prior to making a purchase, you must discuss with your line manager or supervisor to obtain the appropriate written approvals.

Common purchases within Digital Services include IT services, non-standard hardware, temp/personnel recruitment and mobile phones.

Instructions

Once you have obtained approval, to make a purchase for goods and services between $5,001 and $30,000:

  1. Consider Deakin's current suppliers. Use an existing supplier where possible.

  2. Obtain at least one written quote.

  3. If the supplier exists in DeakinUniFi, create a purchase order.

  4. If the supplier is not yet in DeakinUniFi, follow the process to add a new supplier in DeakinUniFi. Once the supplier is onboarded, raise a purchase order.
