Setting up multiple (Staff and Student) accounts on DUO


In an effort to improve cybersecurity and protect the information of our staff and students at Deakin, Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) is in place when accessing Deakin applications. MFA can be configured on your account using the Duo Mobile App.

Follow the instructions below to install Duo onto your smartphone, and set up MFA on both staff and student accounts.

Please follow the instructions here to setup your primary account on DUO Mobile.

 

Since DUO Mobile does not permit the registration of an additional account (Staff, Student or Scholarship Holder) using the same mobile number, please follow the steps outlined in the 'Duo Mobile (MFA) – Tablet Registration' article to set up Duo for the additional account.

 

If you encounter an error message labelled Bad Message 431, when trying to setup MFA, please clear your browsing data by following the instructions in the article.
