Each time you change your Deakin password, you will also need to update the password for the Deakin services you are using on your mobile device(s) (for example email, Wi-Fi). If you don't update your details, your account may be locked, as your mobile devices will continually try to use your old password. Please close Outlook prior to changing your password for the same reason. |
If you have a newer Mac (from late 2020 onwards) or your computer has been erased and rebuilt (re-imaged), you log into your Mac using Jamf Connect. This uses your Microsoft 365 login credentials and Multi-Factor Authentication.

You can change your password whether you're on-campus or off-campus. You do not need to connect to Deakin's VPN.

If your Mac does not use Jamf Connect, you log in with the classic macOS username and password boxes.
If you are off-campus, you must connect to Deakin's GlobalProtect VPN before changing your password.
Once a secure VPN connection has been established, complete the following instructions to change your password.

Once your computer login password has been changed, you may need to update it in other locations as well.
Repeat step 7 until all Deakin-related passwords have been updated.
If you get the following error when Self Service+ asks you to log in again, wait 5 minutes and then try again. It can take a few minutes for your new password to be fully registered after you change it.
If you've registered for Platform SSO, changing your password using the above instructions should update your Platform SSO passkey.
If something has gone wrong, you may need to repair your Platform SSO setup.
